THE ISIAC TABLET

OF
CARDINAL BEMBO.

THIS curious relic of an age long past cannot fail to attract the attention of every earnest student of the Mysteries; its beauty of design, its careful execution, its obvious antiquity, its certain connection with that most incomprehensible scheme of religion—the Egyptian, all combine to fascinate the mind and stimulate the intellect in a search for the explanation of the purpose and meaning of this very elaborate pictorial work of Art.

Mysterious in its conception, of unknown origin, and of peculiar workmanship, this Tablet merits examination and research.

– Dr. William Wynn Westcott

Detail of the THE ISIAC TABLET showing Thoth seated above two crocodiles.

Offered here as a hand-screened fine print; THE ISIAC TABLET is printed with silvered inks on black art paper in an edition of 78 copies. Measuring 18 x 24 inches this hieroglyphic table purports to convey occult symbolism veiled in the guise of AEGYPTIAN MYSTERIES. The original table composed of metals captured the attentions of early esoteric historian Athanasius Kircher, occultist Eliphas Levi and Supreme Magus of the Societas Rosicruciana In Anglica; Dr. William Wynn Westcott. The curious may read Dr. Westcott’s [monograph] which explicates the parts of TABULA BEMBINA along with the thoughts of Kircher, Levi and others concerning this very intriguing embodiment of esoteric arcana.
